Hot stamping dies

Hot stamping (press hardening) dies with integrated cooling for ultra-high-strength safety parts up to 2,000 MPa: pillars, door rings, reinforcements.

Press hardening for safety parts

In hot stamping, the blank is heated in a furnace, transferred to the press, then formed and quenched in the closed die. The result is a part with very high strength and low weight, used for the safety cell of the vehicle: A and B pillars, door rings, roof rails, tunnel and bumper reinforcements.

Up to 2,000 MPa tensile strength

We build hot stamping dies for press-hardened steels up to 2,000 MPa. Higher strength allows thinner parts, lighter bodies and better crash behaviour, which are key targets for electric vehicle platforms.

Cooling built into the die

A hot stamping die is also a heat exchanger. Cooling channels run close to the forming surface to quench the part evenly within the cycle. Channel layout, die materials and cycle time are defined at the design stage with forming and thermal simulation.

Tryout and support

Each die is tried out and measured until buy-off and ships with its checking fixture. We support home-line tryout on your hot stamping line. Contact us to discuss your part.
